Going in to its 12th year, DiverseCity Charlottetown will attract more than 20,000 newcomers, visitors and islanders of all ages to Queen Street in downtown Charlottetown on Sunday, June 24th. This eagerly anticipated event is filled with delicious food, sights, sounds, and performances from the many cultures that now call PEI home.
Enter the mythical world with haunting music that explores ancient texts, folklore and legends. PEI’s own women’s choral ensemble Sirens is back at St. Mary’s before travelling to Newfoundland for Podium, Canada’s choral conference and festival. The concert includes a special preview performance of their newly commissioned work from Canadian choral composer Jeff Enns!
Join us after the free day time portion of the PEI Lobster Festival for our Lobster Reception and Supper with Chef Michael Smith as our event host. This is a paid event and for only $40, you get to enjoy an opening reception with oysters and lobster tacos from 5-6pm which includes local entertainers. At 6pm, our official PEI Lobster Supper begins with an opening lobster chowder followed with a traditional lobster dinner and locally made desserts. Celebrate Canada’s 151st birthday in the Birthplace of Confederation! Show your Canadian pride on Sunday, July 1 in Victoria Park. Events for all ages will include a Living Flag activity, a Family Fun Zone, giveaways, and a spectacular fireworks display to cap off the celebrations. An all-day musical celebration – Coastal Vibes – will take place at the Victoria Park Cultural Pavilion featuring a talented line-up of Island musicians.
