The singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist has been hailed by outlets such as No Depression, Billboard and Rolling Stone: “Sounds like the spunky, intense little sister to artists Iris DeMent, Natalie Maines, Nanci Griffith and Janis Joplin.”
EmiSunshine has already graced some of the most-prestigious stages–from the « Today Show, » to the Grand Ole Opry (over a dozen times) and most recently, “Little Big Shots starring Steve Harvey” last April. This year, the pow wow falls on August 18th & 19th.
A Pow wow is a rejoicing of life through feasting and dancing to the « Heart Beat of Mother Earth, » represented in the Sacred Drum. The Pow Wow will end on Sunday evening with a traditional Mi’kmaq Feast that is open to the public with the cost by donation. There is free on-site camping, serviced washrooms and access to one of the most beautiful beaches on Prince Edward Island.
