Niki Jabbour, a well-known gardening author, will be speaking on how to extend the harvest into late fall and winter using season extenders like cold frames and mini hoop tunnels. She will also talk about the best crops to grow for the cold season. There will be a limited number of Niki’s book available for purchase for $25 (cash only). There will also be a book signing opportunity… purchase a book on site or bring one from home!

The Prince Edward Island Sheep Breeders’ Association is holding its 26th Sheep Breeder’s Lamb Dinner at the Red Shores Racetrack and Casino, 21 Exhibition Drive, Charlottetown, PE on Friday, October 19th 2018 beginning with a reception at 6:30 pm. and dinner at 7:00 pm. Christmas in Belfast Market held at the Belfast Rec Centre on Nov 24 from 9am to 3pm.This is a fundraising event for the Belfast Historical Society and is well known for a quality shopping experience as well as a great place to meet friends and neighbors before the Christmas rush begins. A full house of talented vendors will be sharing their crafts, talents and produce. No admission but a Chili meal deal is available as well as tickets on a beautiful gift basket.
