The 8th annual Evangeline Country Music Festival is a three-day event which will be held from Friday to Sunday, October 13 – 15. All activities are held at the Acadian Musical Village (Expo-Festival Center) in Abram-Village.
The festival begins with a Kitchen Party on Friday, October 13, following the Chase The Ace draw. Music will be provided by local country music singers. There will be a 50/50 draw and lunch will be available. This activity is reserved to adults 19 years and over.
The following day, Saturday, October 14, a children’s program will be available from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Activities include face painting, games, pumpkin decorating, singing and dancing.
A very popular activity is the Legends of Country Music Show to be held on Saturday evening, at 8:30 p.m. Over twenty local musicians will perform music of the great country music legends, such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Kitty Wells, Cayouche, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Dolly Parton and many more.
Volunteers will try their luck at performing the sound of various farm animals in an all fun contest. There will also be a 50/50 draw and chicken fricot and râpure will be available. This activity is reserved to 19 years and over and a cowboy hat is a must..
On Sunday, October 13, plan to attend the MUSICAL COWBOY BRUNCH which will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Roast Turkey will be the special item on the menu, along with breakfast items, home-made soup, râpure, meat pie, ham, meatballs, a great selection of desserts and much more.
