505 Roma Point Road
*For July 27th, the local storyteller will be Perry Gotell from Tranquility Cove Adventures and the musician will be Norman Stewart!
Sea, Sand & Fire is a new in-person event that features local food, Island musicians, Roma re-enactors and local seafaring storytellers. It will be held outdoors around a rustic campfire with a view of the Montague Canadian Heritage River as the sun sets over the trees.
While listening to the colourful history of Prince Edward Island and the Three Rivers Settlement through story and music, participants will also get the chance to taste the food of Roma’s time during the intermission. There will be locally sourced mussels, heritage bread made with Roma’s settler’s original recipe, and some sweet treats! There will also be a wide variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to wet your whistle. Throughout the show, stories will be shared that illuminate how Islanders have lived on the tides for centuries, whether catching bounties of fish or illegally rum-running during the prohibition. As the sun sets, you might even hear a ghost story or two about the curious happenings that occur at Roma, proving that the settlers spirits have never left the settlement.
Immerse yourself in the past this summer at Sea, Sand & Fire!
